چکیده
Abstract Nowadays silicone is a widespread material for medical devices. In particular, it commonly used implants manufacturing, that patients undergoing breast augmentation or reconstruction after mastectomy. However, the use of not free from risks. Ruptures are uncommon, in general post-traumatic iatrogenic, and usually related to implant’s wall weakness unknown origin but probably due biochemical reactions cause rupture. As consequence rupture, gel damaged may have continuity migration chest wall, axillae, upper extremities, resulting granulomatous inflammation siliconoma, lymphatic axillary lymph nodes. this regard, thoracic extremely rare, nowadays leakage unlikely happen with more modern cohesive implants. Nevertheless, procedures such as surgery thoracotomies be responsible accidental implant capsular discontinuity, eventually intrathoracic migration, especially when dealing older generations We report rare case 75-year-old woman presenting pleural effusion, 18 years right cancer, followed by lobe resection lung carcinoma. A combination muscular flap DTI pre-pectoral biological membrane (ADM) has been treatment. Literature was reviewed cases localization cavity, focusing on previous surgeries, anamnestic relevances, surgical management. Level Evidence: V, risk/prognostic study.

Silicone migration to the contralateral axillary lymph nodes and breast after highly cohesive silicone gel implant failure: a case report
Highly cohesive silicone gel implants are advertised for aesthetic and safety advantages. Our case is the fourth report describing early implant rupture and contralateral migration of siliconoma. Despite the greater degree of gel cohesiveness, a continued vigilance for signs and symptoms of migration is highly recommended.
